Arcane Archers are viewed differently between the high elves and the wild elves.

For a high elf, the complexities of the arcane archer are generally a turn off. High elves rely so significantly on specialization that the very idea of something would combine stealth, marital prowess, archery and magic in one are troubling. Combine that with their typical dress code of forest colors and Arcane Archers tend to find themselves outside of mainstream high elven society. All the same, everything in high elf society is organized, and arcane archers are typically members of groups of other arcane archers to work as scouts and defenders of points of interest.

[edit] Wild Elves

To a wild elf, arcane archers are dirty, sneaky and to be feared. Consider in normal society if one were to claim to be an assassin, the reaction is very similar for wild elves. Still, given the wild elf's worship of prowess, many strive to become Arcane Archers as a means to seek respect from their kin. Much of the successful negotiation between the two sides takes place with arcane archers present on the high elves' side. Arcane Archers are rare as clan leaders as they generally lack the physical strength necessary to win in close quarter contests.
